Frozen Fall
Canada
Braeside, Ontario
I walked along a disused railway line and, following the sound of flowing water, headed through the trees and stumbled across this frozen waterfall. Several days earlier, this waterfall would have been flowing far more freely than it was on this day. And several days later when I came back to this spot, the stream had frozen over and the waterfall was a mass of ice and snow, unlike the intricate design I saw here. I spent over an hour taking well over 100 photos on this day. It wasn’t until I got home and flicked through all of my shots that I found this one - just this one - where the low winter sun was shining through.
